Helen Bannerman's oft-maligned children's story, Little Black Sambo, has found a place on the web. This is the edition I read as a child - the imagery brings back waves of memory for me. More than a bit politically incorrect but the story itself (while fanciful) isn't racist and has been retold a thousand ways since its first publication.
