I hab a code

Here's a guy who's reading every issue of 2000 A.D. (the comic that started Judge Dredd's career) and blogging about it. Cool.

Dmitry Stanyakin's Photography of St. Petersburg is just lovely. His other stuff is great, too!

spacing.ca has a note on

spacing.ca has a note on the roll-out of the West Toronto Railpath, a plan to green-up unused portions of the CN railway right-of-way in Toronto's west end, where I live. It looks good!

Moscow 1890

Here's a nice collection of postcards from Moscow in 1890. So nice to see the beauty of that city before it was destroyed by Communism.

Super Sneaky Spy Guy - a fun point-n-click game.

The Homeless Camera Adventure. A simple idea. Give camera to homeless person. See what they come back with. Publish a website with the photos. Even more interesting is the Fark discussion about it.

Box Office Receipts Up - what does that mean?

The MPAA took a further dive into irrelevancy today with their announcement that 2006 was a very good year for the Box Office. Revenue is up up up and in all the places that the MPAA wail about piracy in. More movies were released in 2006 than ever before, which indicates the public enjoy and patronize variety. Males under 25, the same people the MPAA accuse of being the biggest downloaders of illegal fileshared movies, account for the greatest number of theatregoers, and the more tech-savvy they are and the bigger the home theatre system they have, the more they are likely to go see first-run movies in the theatres as well. So the very people the MPAA are accusing of being their worst enemies [and they note that ticket sales were up as well in places like Korea, China, India and Russia - all hotbeds of piracy, supposedly] are in fact their best customers. When will the MPAA stop their campaign against their friends?

My photoblogging friend Sam Javounah is featured in a 'soundslide' on CBC.ca's Arts & Design section - a nice slideshow of his work with his own narration. Take a look & listen!
