If you ever wondered what
If you ever wondered what the millionaires at Google do with their spare cash, here's one answer: they buy 1/8th of a ton of Silly Putty and then wonder what to do next.
I got my dad a copy of the Complete New Yorker DVD set - a collection that encompasses the entire history of the magazine (up to last year), searchable and very convenient. But, it has its detractors.. This fellow is disgruntled in that it's not (currently) possible to copy the whole thing onto your hard drive and he finds it annoying to have to swap discs back and forth if you're searching across ranges of years. I think his complaint is a little narrow in that if he organized himself better his workflow could take account of the limitation of the DVD format and reduce his annoyance level. It is quite easy to limit one's search to only the years included on the disc currently inserted.
