Light Field photography with a Hand-Held Plenoptic Camera - some Stanford U. students have developed a camera that takes images that have alterable depth of field. The potential for this technology is impressive - I'm liking it for the creative potential - in that if you can alter the focus along a parallel plane in the image, why couldn't you do tilting and shifting as well? This will blow the lens market out of the water.
The teaser trailer for Superman, the remake, has been released - and it includes the voice of Marlon Brando as Jor-El... Brando's been dead for a year and a half but they decided to use his dialogue from the 1977 Superman movie. Amazing. Hope his estate gets a paycheque.
